Year 1

Key Stage 1 is the time spent in Year 1 and Year 2. In Year 1 we have two classes.

Please could you send in any memento of your child's baptism. Eg - candle, photo, certificate, blanket.

Next Week's Learning

Literacy - We are learning our chosen class poem off by heart, adding actions. We will be performing it to Reception and Year 2. We are reading Pumpkin Soup, making our own pumpkin soup and writing instructions.
Maths - We are learning to read and write numbers from 1 to 20. We are focusing on the way numbers are built. How numbers - ten to nineteen - are made up of ten and some more - exploring using a variety of models including place value equipment. Pupils using and understanding of tens and ones is essential as they continue to explore and count using bigger numbers.
